Product information

• Ingredients: Finely ground fresh coconut rice.
• Weight: 250g/pack
• Origin: Vietnam

Using:

• Make coconut milk: pour warm water to cover the surface of the coconut, leave for 5 minutes. Squeeze out the juice. 250g desiccated coconut equivalent to 750g fresh grated coconut
• Make the cake: mix coconut rice with warm candy sugar water, leave for 5 minutes, add the dough, mix well, pour into the cake mold
• Sprinkle coconut rice directly on sticky rice or cake…

Methods of preservation

• The product is stored in a dry, clean and cool place
• The best storage temperature is between 18-25 degrees Celsius
• Avoid contamination or insect penetration.

The processes of desiccated coconut are as below:

•  Removal of coconut husk,
•  Removal of coconut shell,
•  Removal of thick brown coconut skin,
•  Washing of white coconut meat to remove foreign material,
•  Blanching of white coconut meat to reduce the number of microorganism to the safe level fit for human consumption within its shelf life,
•  Cutting of white coconut meat into the desired size,
•  Hot air blow drying the grated white coconut meat to reduce the moisture content from 19% to less than 3%,
•  Cooling of desiccated coconut,
•  Sieving of desiccated coconut to separate desiccated coconut as according to the desired size,
• Finally, packing of desiccated coconut.
